Siavonga Man on the Run After Alleged Defilement of 7-Year-Old Girl.











A 7-year-old girl has allegedly been defiled by her father's friend in Siavonga District, Southern Province.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, between 11:00 and 12:00 hours, at Namoomba Village in Chief Sikoongo’s area.

Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Auxensio Daka confirmed the report and identified the suspect as Grevalate Sikakooze, aged 40.

Mr. Daka explained that Sikakooze molested the girl during a visit to her father’s home. He stated that the girl's parents and Sikakooze left the house, leaving the minor alone.

Upon returning home, the girl's mother discovered her daughter was missing and was informed she had been taken to a nearby health facility. When she arrived, she was told that her daughter had been defiled by Sikakooze, who is currently on the run.

Police investigations are ongoing.
